This year we have been involved in the Garden to Table programme at school.  This means we rotate each week between the Garden and the Kitchen.  In the garden we look after the veggies, and our fruit trees. We do this by weeding and planting as we go.  In the kitchen we learn how to cut, dice, grate and combine ingredients to make yummy nutritious food.

Here are examples of my Basic Facts work this term.

At the beginning of the term for Reading and Writing we used a google site Mrs G had created to learn about native plants to NZ.  Here is a presentation/poster I created to share some of what I learnt.

Here is some work I have been doing in Maths on Reflection, Rotation and Translation. I had lots of fun learning, experimenting and completing these tasks.

Earlier this term we had our Greats and Grands Day. We invited our grandparents and great-grandparents to come along. Some children invited other special people if they did not have a grandparent to invite. We had singing, speeches, kapa haka, kai and games. Here is a slide/some work I made for Greats and Grands Day.

For Greats and Grands I created some artwork to share. I used comic art features to draw my grandparent. I then used sharpie to outline my comic grandparent. Next I used cold colours in stripes to form the background. I then used warm coloured dye to add colour and detail to my grandparent. I am super proud of my work.
